A serial pedophile has been convicted guilty on the rape of at least three young children from the age of five upwards. The rape and abuse lasted for years and started in 1999. The men also forced the boys and girls to have sex with each other and he forced one of the girls to watch him have sex on an inflatable doll. It was not the first time that the men had been jailed. He also had been jailed for 15 months in 2002 after assaulting a six-year-old girl but he will not be able to repeat these horrific actions because this time he will be sent to prison for life.
In general I feel that everyone deserves a second chance. No matter what someone did, I am against the death penalty or a life time in jail because I think that people can better their life and that most of them will. This article makes me change my mind though. I think that if someone could rape innocent children and make them have sex with each other, they do not deserve to live. He stole away their childhood and any chance on a normal life by the horrific crime he committed so I do not think he deserves any chance on a normal life as well.

Oh my God, I read the same article. The first sentences in your reaction shocked me, then I read on and saw that we both think the same. I totally agree on you that people deserve a second change, only not with these kinds of actions: if they take someone's life away or scar them in such a way that they can not have a 'normal' life, they should be send away for life. Good blog, I loved reading it :)!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI think this is a sad story, these abused kids have been changed for life by this man. I am against death penalty and I think life-terms are better solutions. Still I think this man is sick and has to be cured. To get better he does not only have to be in prison he will need lots of mental help. I hope this will help him. Does he deserve to get a second chance? I find it to risky to let him go, you never know what might happen. He has done enough harm.
